We can help with electric, water, propane or natural gas bills,
if you have received a disconnect notice.
Unfortunately, we cannot help once your utility has been shut off.

Requirements

Someone in the household must be employed.

You may receive utility assistance only once every six months.

You must be 225% or below the poverty level.
-
You must live in Ross County.

You must have a disconnect notice.

Documents Needed
-
Proof of income for the last 4 weeks from all people in the household.

IDs of all people in the household including children (insurance cards may be used as ID for children)

RENT
We can help with rent if you have received 3-day eviction notice.
Unfortunately, we cannot help with deposits.

You may receive rent assistance only once within 365 days.

You must be 225% or below the poverty level.

You must live in Ross County.

You must have a 3-day eviction notice.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
We can help with new shoes for your school-aged child.
This program is now active for the 2025-2026 school year.

SCRUBS PROGRAM
We can give you three sets of scrubs if you work in the medical field.

You may receive scrubs assistance only twice within 365 days.

You must be 225% or below the poverty level.

BACK TO WORK PROGRAM
We can help you with non-skid shoes, work boots,
work clothing and gas cards

Someone in the household must be starting new employment.

You may receive this assistance only once within 365 days.
-
You must be 225% or below the poverty level.

You must live in Ross County.

A letter from your new employer showing your schedule, pay, and required work attire.

IDs of all people in the household including children (insurance cards may be used as ID for children).
DIAPERS PROGRAM
We can help you with diapers and wipes every six weeks if supplies are available. Please call first for availability.
